Product warranties

Our products are all covered by warranty. The duration of that warranty depends on the category of product.

Luggage: 10-year warranty (purchased replacement luggage parts: 3-year warranty)

Bags: 6-year warranty

Wallets, phone cases, pouches, accessories: 3-year warranty

If you’re not sure under which category a product falls, you will find the applicable warranty specified on every product page.

Our number one environmental goal is to make products that can be used and loved for as long as possible. Our product warranty is one way we define what ‘as long as possible’ means. These time frames represent our best assessment of the minimum time the materials, hardware, coatings and components in our products are expected to last when used within their expected conditions.

Further, our warranty sits alongside and in addition to consumer law protection in your home country.

Our warranty covers faults in materials and workmanship for all products under normal use. The warranty doesn’t apply to expected wear and tear, expected signs of aging, if damage is caused by unreasonable use or neglect, or if you change your mind. See our Returns & Exchanges policy.

Normal use is what you'd expect a product to do — a wallet opening and closing comfortably several times a day, a bag carrying the sorts of items shown in our imagery, a phone case fitting your device snugly through daily handling. To give you a sense of what we don’t think is normal use:

  • a wallet packed so full the stitching is under constant strain – we give you recommendations for how many cards a wallet or phone case can carry
  • a bag packed beyond its capacity or design
  • a non-technical backpack used for mountaineering; our gear isn’t intended to make base camp!

Bellroy is only liable for its own products. We provide recommendations about use, fit, capacity and size. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service team to ask. You are responsible for the selection of product and suitability and fitness for use. Consequential damages are not warranted: this means that Bellroy will not be liable for any loss or damage to the contents or for any personal injury or damage resulting from use of our products.

In addition, any products that have been customised in any way (for example, iron or sew on patches, embroidery, etc and whether provided or done by us or you) are not eligible for change of mind returns or warranty claims if the “fault” is the result of the customisation – but the warranty will still apply to the product itself.

Finally, in order to make a warranty claim, you need to have verifiable proof of purchase.

Exceptions

Owners of an Apex Backpack are still covered by a 10-year warranty.

We extended our warranty on bags from 3 years to 6 years, in November 2024. Any product that was still within its 3-year warranty period at that time is automatically covered for 6 years (from the time of purchase). The extended period does not apply to products that were out of warranty at the time of the update.

Email our support team with your order details and a description of the fault or damage. Including photographs of any fault will help us address your claims quickly and efficiently.

Luggage repair program

Fix-it Kits

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have made certain luggage parts replaceable, with self-repair Fix-it Kits available.

These replacement parts will come to you as part of our Fix-it Kits, along with the tools required to complete the repair.

Warranty policy

Replacement parts are only covered when used fairly, for their intended use (for example, if you used our replacement parts on another brand’s case – this would not be considered intended use).

Replacement parts provided under a warranty claim are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period of your Bellroy luggage, regardless of its length.

When purchased, replacement parts are covered by a 3-year warranty, while the rest of your luggage case is covered for its existing warranty period only.

If you purchase a Fix-it Kit, any damage to luggage that occurs while repairing with our Fix-it Kits may not be covered by warranty. Should you experience any resistance when repairing your luggage, do not apply force as this can potentially damage your item. Instead, please reach out to us and we will assist you with next steps.

Special Warranty on Carryology x Bellroy Chimera Sling

Due to the limited nature of the Chimera Sling, Bellroy will not accept “change of mind” returns. We have a very small amount of stock reserved for warranty claims. After that allocation is exhausted, our standard 3-year warranty will be honored with a replacement of a similar item (or items to the same value).

Special Warranty on Karan Singh Tech Kit and Iron-On Art Patches

  1. Because of the nature of the Karan Singh Tech Kit, Bellroy will not accept “change of mind” returns once the iron-on patches have been applied. Our standard 3-year warranty applies to the Tech Kit itself, but we note that applying the patches and then attempting to move or remove them does not constitute normal wear and tear.
  2. The patches themselves are covered by a limited 3-month warranty from the day they were sent by Bellroy, when used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended.
  3. At the risk of stating the obvious, please note that ironing patches onto products (including Bellroy products) incorrectly, or attempting to remove patches, may leave marks that will be noticeable. Bellroy is not liable for any damage to products resulting from using the patches.

Limited 3 month Warranty on Community Perk Pins

Bellroy pins are covered by a 3 month warranty from the day they were sent by Bellroy, when used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended. At the risk of stating the obvious, please note that using pins on products (including Bellroy products) will make a hole that may be noticeable even after you remove the pin. Bellroy is not liable for any damage to products resulting from using the pins.

Limited Warranty on 15 Year Charm and Year of the Horse Charms

Bellroy’ 15 Year Charms and Year of the Horse Charms, including the attached carabiner, are intended for decorative purposes only. The Charms are covered by a limited 3 month warranty from the day they are sent by Bellroy, and only when used under normal conditions and for their intended purpose. The Charms are only available for a limited period; as such, damaged or defective Charms can only be returned for a replacement while stock is available.

How do I make a claim?

Please email our support team with your order details and a description of the fault or damage. Including photographs of any fault helps a lot in speeding up claims.
