Note: you will only need the tools that come with your Fix-it Kit, so you won’t be dealing with any crosshead screws – only hex screws.
Unzip and open your case, laying it flat on a solid surface.
Unzip the right-hand side compartment.
Beneath this, you’ll find another zipped compartment. This zip has an upside-down zipper pull, so you will be able to open it by inserting something small into the gap and making the gap larger. Unzip it from the top left-hand corner and around anti-clockwise. Open the flap upwards.
At the top end of the case beneath the fabric, there’s a hook-and-loop panel with 3 sections – open this.
At the top end of the handle, use the hex key to undo the 2 inside screws.
At the bottom end of the handle, use the hex key to undo the 2 outside screws.
Remove the telescopic handle through the zipped compartment at the top of the case.
Part B: Installing the new telescopic handle
Put the new telescopic handle inside the case.
Align the handle with the housing.
At the bottom end of the handle, use the hex key to fasten in 2 A screws – 1 on each side. Where you’re screwing in, there will be 3 holes – ensure you are screwing into the center hole.
At the top end of the case beneath the fabric, re-open the hook-and-loop panel with 3 sections.
At the top end of the handle, use the hex key to fasten the 2 B screws into the inside holes.
Close the hook-and-loop section.
Zip the ‘upside-down’ zip back up, from the top right-hand side, clockwise.
You now have a replaced telescopic handle. Congrats!
