Marketplace Operations Lead

IN A NUTSHELL

Bellroy has built a strong digital presence, offering our products in nine languages on our website and expanding across 15+ online marketplaces, including Amazon, Rakuten, and Iconic. With over 50 new products launched annually and a growing global customer base, we’re looking for a Marketplace Operations Lead to take the reins of our marketplace content operations, streamline the processes that drive our expansion, and lead a small team to ensure our products show up seamlessly across our digital channels.

In this role, you will oversee the deployment and maintenance of content across our website and digital marketplaces, ensuring it is accurately placed, up to date, and compliant with platform requirements. You’ll also look to streamline workflows and manage the growing need for localized translations, ensuring content reaches the right channels efficiently as we expand. You will mentor and guide your direct report, helping them navigate the complexities of day-to-dy content operations while driving continuous improvement in this space. If you’re a systems thinker, a problem solver, and a detail-oriented leader, this role offers an opportunity to help shape how Bellroy scales its global marketplace presence.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU...

  • Have 3–5 years of experience in digital operations or marketplace management, with experience using content management systems and a solid understanding of online marketplaces (Amazon experience is a plus)
  • Bring people management experience and a genuine passion for mentoring and supporting others to develop and thrive in their roles
  • Enjoy using data to uncover insights, identify trends, and drive decision-making. You’re comfortable working with spreadsheets to analyze and manage data
  • Possess strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing complex workflows, juggling multiple projects, and ensuring deadlines are met—while keeping your team aligned and focused
  • Have a keen eye for process improvement, always looking for ways to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and implement scalable solutions that support growth

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, YOU MIGHT HAVE...

  • Met with the team to discuss the current status of task assignments in Asana, identified potential bottlenecks, and collaborated to develop solutions that unblocked workflows and kept projects on track.
  • Overseen the launch of a new product on Bellroy.com and fifteen Amazon platforms –proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure a smooth rollout
  • Worked with our Amazon Account Manager and Creative team to discuss the roll-out and needs for Amazon Prime Day Campaign
  • Worked with the Sales Operations Lead to create a project plan for a new marketplace we are launching on; including but not limited to resourcing, content creation process, etc.
  • Onboarded a new translator to support our expansion into a new Amazon country platform, managing the process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of translated content
  • Analyzed marketplace performance metrics to identify trends, flag underperforming products, and suggest content optimizations that improve sales and engagement across key marketplaces
  • Met with your manager for your weekly 1-1 and talked about a process improvement opportunity within the team
  • Joined our company All Eyes Meeting, and had a preview of new products we will be releasing soon

This is a full-time position located at our Collingwood office.

Bellroy' is a fusion of our two homes – Bells Beach and Fitzroy. Bells Beach brings a relaxed, outdoor vibe to balance Fitzroy's creative, urban style. The city and the sea; inspiration and adventure. Together they provide a perfect balance.

Bells Beach

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.

Fitzroy

Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo).

Remotely

Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
