EU Sales Manager

IN A NUTSHELL

Bellroy is a high-growth global business on a mission to use business as a force for good. Founded in Australia in 2010 with a range of five wallets, we’ve since grown to a team of 100+ people, shipping environmentally responsible carry goods to over 170 countries. As a certified B Corp, we’re serious about building products that last and getting them into the hands of customers through more than 1,500 retail doorways and our own digital channels. With over 50 new products launched each year, every part of our business plays a role in shaping a more vibrant future.

We’re projecting AUD $2M in EMEA wholesale revenue this financial year, and are in the early stages of onboarding multiple Apple Premium Resellers (APR) over the next 12 months. We already have momentum, we need you to build on it. Reporting to our VP of Global Wholesale (based in the U.S), you’ll focus on developing key accounts, expanding into new regions and working closely with our local agents and distributors.

YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU:

  • Have 5+ years in business development or wholesale sales, ideally in premium consumer goods (tech, fashion, lifestyle or design)
  • Are fluent in English, Dutch and conversational in German (bonus points if you can handle more)
  • Want to own a region and be trusted to lead its growth—strategically, commercially, and operationally
  • Have demonstrated a history of selling a lifestyle brand into new key accounts and opening new business with major retailers
  • Can build long-term relationships and motivate sales agents and distributors through proper goal setting and having weekly/monthly quarterly calls to review progress towards achieving sales targets
  • Can balance local knowledge with global context—you understand the nuances of European retail and how to translate brand value into market fit
  • Are motivated by working with a brand that combines design, ethics and purpose - you have a passion for great product and love to help bring that product to life on a retailer’s shelf
  • Bring a commercial lens to all you do—pipeline, margin, sell-through, and strategy
  • Are happy to travel when it counts—whether it’s for a customer meeting, a trade show floor, or a face-to-face with the Bellroy team
  • Have experience working for an international brand with global distribution - you know that sometimes connecting before/after normal working hours is necessary

  • Have a natural entrepreneurial spirit and have helped scale a premium brand in Europe - you know what it takes to build retailer demand and drive sell through across diverse markets

  • Can switch seamlessly between commercial strategy and roll-up-your-sleeves execution - you might set up our booth to exhibit at a local trade show or walk retail stores to comp shop competitive brands

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, YOU MIGHT HAVE:

  • Met with our sales agency supporting the CE and APR channels to finalise rollout plans for new APR distributors we’re onboarding in the UK and Sweden
  • Attended the Outdoor Trade Show in Liverpool to prospect key accounts in the Outdoor channel
  • Shaped the product assortment for a new major retailer in The Netherlands, focusing on top-sellers in the Outdoor channel
  • Presented Q1 performance insights to our leadership team, highlighting new opportunities in Benelux
  • Joined a call with our German distributor and sales agents to troubleshoot delivery delays and align on priorities for the season
  • Walked a Scandinavian trade show and lined up three promising new retail leads to follow up
  • Reviewed trade show opportunities in France and Scandinavia, then booked Bellroy’s presence at the ones that matter most
  • Worked with our Sales Ops Coordinator to ensure key account orders were prepped and shipped on time
  • Analysed sell through reports from a key retailers or distributors and worked closely with our Wholesale Analyst to create forecasts for future demand
  • Joined a Retail Marketing Meeting with peers from the global Wholesale Team and Creative Team.

LOCATION AND HOURS

This is a full-time role, based in the Netherlands. You’ll work remotely, with regular travel for meetings, and trade shows. Working hours are flexible, though some overlap with Australian and US time zones will be required.

Bellroy' is a fusion of our two homes – Bells Beach and Fitzroy. Bells Beach brings a relaxed, outdoor vibe to balance Fitzroy's creative, urban style. The city and the sea; inspiration and adventure. Together they provide a perfect balance.

Bells Beach

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.

Fitzroy

Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo).

Remotely

Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
