Digital Project Manager


At Bellroy, we pour our heart, soul and many design hours into helping people carry better and delighting customers across every interaction – both with our products and our brand touchpoints – is high on our priority list. Our digital assets are key to this, and we’re looking for a skilled project manager to help us grow and improve our e-commerce site,

Reporting to our Digital Sales Manager, the Digital Project Manager will help coordinate UX, design, development and marketing, to deliver projects that will make a world leader in online retail experiences. We need someone who can move comfortably between the tech and creative worlds (and the varied personalities that inhabit them). And who has a drive to ensure that while every project we ship satisfies its internal stakeholders, it’s done in a way that delights our customers too.

Are you a super organiser who loves making sure the details are lined up, and who can put themselves in the shoes of a customer to make sure the experience is a delight? If so, keep reading.


We work with a growth mindset, experimenting, iterating, shifting and always looking for better ways to achieve our goals. So, working with our team of creatives, developers, analysts and other project managers, you’ll play a critical role in helping digital projects go live. We’ll ensure you have the tools you need to do a great job, the space to make that happen, and the support you need to flourish.

You’ll be located in our Fitzroy office and work closely with the tech, creative and data teams to help roll out projects that will make awesome. We have full time back and front end developers. Our creative team includes graphic designers, digital designers, photographers and storytellers. Our data team includes a customer relationship lead, analysts and engineers. You’d be the central point of contact for all our digital projects, helping to make sure that the creatives and developers understand the details of the project and how to implement the project to fulfil our business requirements.


You’re organised and able to handle a bunch of moving parts at once. But even when there’s a lot of that going on, you can keep the big picture front of mind. You know just how to ensure our digital changes are executed quickly and effectively, and that the changes are sure to improve our customers’ experiences with us online. You like people, and you’re always keen to understand them better – you believe that good project management is really about helping the right people get great things done.

You are humble. You’re more interested in the outcome than the kudos; sure, it’s great to have your work acknowledged (we all love that), but it’s not what you get out of bed for. Seeing the changes you facilitated make a positive difference – that’s your happy place.

And so, you are always keen to really understand if the changes that we make have worked. You’ll look at the metrics and gather insights from the right teams to get a well-rounded picture of how our customers feel about things. If we don’t get it right the first time, you’re A-OK with seeking feedback and moving on to a new method for the sake of the long term goal.

  • Leading a meeting with senior management to formulate high-level digital project plans and priorities.
  • Collaborating with the creative team on the design and execution of a new campaign landing page, to improve customer experiences and drive conversions.
  • Working with our copywriter and digital sales manager to prioritise and manage implementation of high priority SEO improvements across the website.
  • Coordinating an A/B test on, in conjunction with the UX and data teams.
  • Maintaining digital tasks in Asana, chasing up deadlines and keeping track of individual team member progress.
  • Testing a new feature on, in conjunction with the tech, finance & data teams.


  • Ability to organise and stay on top of projects and follow them through to completion, prioritising and pushing things forward yourself, but calling on support when needed.
  • Willingness to collaborate and brainstorm with other teams and different minds.
  • A high level of comfort with technical details – you might not be a developer, but you know how a website works, and you feel comfortable learning quickly in a tech space.
  • Appreciation of – and eye for – great design. You might not be a designer, but you can see when something looks a bit off, and bring it to the design team’s attention.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the SCRUM and Shape Up methodologies would be useful, but not essential.
  • Google Analytics / reporting literacy.

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.


Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.


Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
