Our best coin wallet is the Coin Fold. A few of our other wallets have a small coin pocket, just check out the product descriptions to find out which ones these are.
In general though, we encourage folk to carry only what they need, and reduce their coins if possible. Coins add bulk, as well as stretch leather and increase the chances of damaging your cards. At Bellroy, we try to leave our coins at home or in the car, and we like to tip a little extra too.
All wallets that include a micro pen include a refill (check inside the snazzy packaging), but if you write lots (or have 7 middle names like one of our designers), then you can buy more refills online. Just search for a 'Pilot BRF-8F 0.7' and you'll get lots of options. Hope that helps!
We make our products in India and China. We’ve found that in India we can work with incredibly skilled crafts folk and in China we can access amazing technology. We think smiles somehow find their way into a product and we work hard to create and maintain happy work environments.
No. We do not have the slimmest wallets. If you want to wrap your cards in cling film, you can make a slimmer wallet. Instead, what we offer is a wallet that is as slim as we can get it without compromising on delightful interactions, considered materials, and comfort in everyday use. Oh, we also offer some tips to reduce the amount you put into your wallet. That should help too :)
No. Within our range, some are slimmer than others. Essentially, the more features you want (e.g. access to lots of cards with equal priority), the more oomph you'll need to accommodate that. Check out our slim scale here and find out which wallet is right for you.
For each Bellroy wallet, we let you know the number of cards the wallet can hold. This is always a range and listed in the Features List on a product page, located just under ‘Add to Cart’. You can see we recommend between 4–11 cards for our Note Sleeve here.
Not T-shirts. Or caps. Or any of the other distractions that most brands are tempted into. Bellroy is about better carrying, and so you'll see us applying ourselves only to carry products.
We have custom-made cardboard cases for every product; you can see these in the final image on each product page. We make our packaging from recycled card, and keep it slim and lightweight.
RFID-blocking wallets are designed to help protect you from a specific type of theft, called RFID skimming – which is where information from high frequency (13.56MHz) RFID-based credit cards, passports and transport passes are read and duplicated. RFID skimming is not common, but it can happen in certain cases. For a more detailed article on RFID we recommend this balanced explanation by our friends at Carryology.
We appreciate that theft using RFID skimming can happen in certain circumstances, so we’ve made our Note Sleeve, Hide & Seek and Travel Wallet RFID secure. The technology has been incorporated into these styles as this is where we believe the technology will be most useful, but please let us know if we should consider the technology for other Bellroy products by emailing us firstname.lastname@example.org
We like to think of our range as unisex and already have many female carriers in our midst. If you have any ideas we’d love to hear about them, drop us a line at email@example.com and let us know how you like to carry! You never know what might pop up in the future.
Not yet but we have quite a few ideas around how to make the Bellroy gift giving experience more unique and enjoyable than your everyday gift card. We're working hard at getting this in place. Until then rest assured that your gift receiver will undoubtedly be impressed with your taste in wallets. Watch this space!
Depending on where you're browsing from, we try to select the best currency for you to pay in. For customers in the US, Canada, the UK, the Euro zone, Japan, Singapore and Australia, payment is in your local currency. For New Zealand customers, payment is in Australian dollars. For most others, payment is in US dollars, with the exception of certain countries in Europe.
First off, if something has gone wrong, we are really sorry. We pride ourselves on our quality, so have to really apologize if one has slipped through. Send us an email with the issue (pictures always help), and we'll get back to you ASAP with the next steps. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We haven't found anything better than leather for our designs. When treated in the right way you get an organic material that feels great, remains flexible to changing needs, and maintains its appeal for years. Every alternative we have researched fails on at least one of these factors, and ends up having more total impact than the humble cow hide.
We do try to limit the impact of the leathers we source. For instance, we work only with Leather Working Group rated tanneries, which ensure high environmental stewardship practices throughout the tanning process. When sourced this way the benefits of leather outweigh the drawbacks, and help give more wallet stoke.
While we often get the urge to release a really bright and poppy colorway, we are trying to restrain ourselves. Neon green and canary yellow provide a short burst of stoke, but we've found that most people tire of these pretty quickly (the fashion industry thinks of these as wardrobe flushes). We really want to make products that are used and loved for years, and so we try and pick more classic colors. If you really want us to do something brighter, get some friends together and start a petition. We might still be convinced!
You can find our advice for how to care for your leather here. Generally we recommend you shouldn't need to do anything other than use it but not overly abuse it. We understand that sometimes accidents happen so we’ve got advice for how to best deal with wet, dry or dirty leather.
We’d love the world to be a better place because of Bellroy, and we know that responsible business can help us get there. Because this is what drives us, we’ve baked it into our mission, you can read more here.
B Corps are companies that use the power of business to help solve social and environmental problems. This certification is kind of like a LEED or Fair Trade certification, but for an entire business, not just a building or a bag of coffee.
The certification process inspired us to refine our mission and formalize processes like our Matched Giving program and changing to 100% renewable power in our offices. The B Corp assessment also gives us a framework to measure Bellroy’s success and responsible practices as we grow. You can find out more here.
We recognise the value of animal life in contributing to a flourishing world. We commit half a percent of our sales revenue directly to the most effective animal welfare projects we can find, and have a statement you can read here.
