Our People and Culture team are looking for an Assistant who loves a varied to-do list: from managing our Victorian offices (Melbourne and Bells Beach), to supporting all our People processes from onboarding to engagement (think policies, events planning and daily internal comms), to OH&S.

We’re looking for someone who gets true enjoyment from helping others and providing excellent, friendly service to all our crew working both remotely and in our offices (when we return). You will be obsessed with creating delightful experiences for all our Bellrovians (we’ll teach you how to pronounce it) and take a positive approach to work (because we all enjoy what we do here). We don’t like to follow the crowd and prefer to think about solutions that best suit our people. (Did we mention we have a wellness room for our polyphasic sleepers and daytime nappers, and we often have dogs in the office?).

You might be looking for your first People & Culture role, be recently graduated, returning to work, or transitioning your career (maybe you have a customer service/hospitality/administration background). What is important to us is that you want to grow and learn in the People space and see this as the opportunity to do so.

  • Helped to write content and managed the administration of our daily internal newsletter
  • Updated our Performance Review documents in our IntelliHR platform, kicking off the PR process
  • Supported the team with employee administration, updating personnel information, adding new starters to repeat processes, and ensuring smooth offboarding
  • Coordinated with our landlord and electrician to make the office safe after hail storms caused flooding
  • Checked in with our essential workers that they had everything they needed in the office to be comfortable
  • Sat in on meetings with contractors to prepare for our upcoming office move in early 2022
  • Began preparations for our whole company conference (also early 2022 - can you see why we need you onboard?!)
  • Brainstormed some ideas for an outdoor Christmas party in both our office locations, while considering how to make our remote employees feel equally valued


This role is full-time, although we can absolutely consider four days a week, and is based at our office in Fitzroy, with regular (think fortnightly) travel to our Bells office. If you have a car and license this is helpful but not a deal-breaker.

Start Day: We’re looking for someone to start from early December onwards.

'Bellroy' is a fusion of our two homes – Bells Beach and Fitzroy. Bells Beach brings a relaxed, outdoor vibe to balance Fitzroy's creative, urban style. The city and the sea; inspiration and adventure. Together they provide a perfect balance.

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.


Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.


Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
