Recruitment Experience Coordinator


We’ve got bold growth plans and are on the search for a Recruitment Experience Coordinator to help us keep pace during this exciting time. You’ll be working closely with our Recruitment Lead to attract candidates through employment branding, run our structured recruitment process, and onboard new members into the team across all functions both locally and internationally.

We do recruitment a little differently here, our process involves psychometric testing; a couple of interviews; and a 4-6 hour work simulation that helps potential recruits experience their work environment and team before starting. This isn’t a standard way of recruiting but we find having a focus on understanding both the skills and passions of our candidates allows us to hire (and retain) some pretty amazing people. You might not have much experience with this type of process yet but this excites you. You’ve got the skills to pick it up quickly and add some personalisation along the way.

Once we’ve hired a new Bellrovian, you’ll be in charge of making sure they land well and have a direct effect on making sure they are loving their new role at Bellroy.


  • Worked with the Recruitment Lead to brainstorm how you might find the right candidate for an unusual role - figuring out where to advertise or how to network your way to the right candidates
  • Paired with the Recruitment Lead to conduct a few initial video calls with potential candidates - learning how we approach interviews and getting a feel for the candidate, and making sure the candidate gets excited about the role
  • Reviewed applications in Greenhouse and made a short-list of candidates you think would be a great fit for a role
  • Identified a delay in a high-quality candidate moving through the process, and removed that roadblock
  • Worked with a member of the Creative Team to brainstorm ways we could build our employment brand on different platforms
  • Given helpful and honest (but always kind) feedback to a candidate about why we chose not to move forward with them
  • Caught up with a new Bellrovian to make sure they are settling into their new role and have what they need
  • Had a look at onboarding and come up with a plan of what we could do to make a new hires first day even better
  • Scoured LinkedIn and reached out to a couple of candidates you think might be a good fit for our Social Media Captain role

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.


Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.


Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
