Digital Project Coordinator

At Bellroy, we pour our heart, soul and many design hours into helping people carry better.  Our digital assets play a huge part in making that happen, and we’re looking for a skilled coordinator to help us grow and improve bellroy.com and our digital marketplaces (of which there are 11). We aim to bring delight to our customers in all of our interactions, through great products as well as easy, enjoyable online experiences.

Reporting to our Digital Sales Manager, we’re looking for someone who’ll help to coordinate design, development and marketing, to deliver projects that will make bellroy.com a world leader in online retail experiences. Someone who can move comfortably between the tech and design worlds (and the varied personalities that inhabit them). And someone with a drive to ensure that while every project we ship satisfies its internal stakeholders, it’s shipped in a way that delights its external users.

Are you a super organiser who loves making sure the details are lined up, and who can easily put themselves in the shoes of a customer to make sure the experience they have with us is a delight? If so, come and join our team of talented people who share the goal of helping the world and their fellow crew flourish.

We work with a growth mindset; experimenting, iterating, shifting and always looking for better ways to achieve our goals. So, working with our team of creatives, designers, analysts and developers, you’ll play a critical role in helping our digital environments grow. We’ll ensure you have the tools you need to do a great job, the space to make that happen, and the support you need to flourish.

You’ll be located in our Fitzroy studio and work closely with the tech, creative and customer insights teams to help roll out projects that will make bellroy.com and our digital marketplaces awesome. We have full time back and front end developers. Our creative team includes graphic designers, a digital designer, a photographer and a storyteller. Our customer insights team brings together people from all over the company to better understand what our customers love, and where we might be able to do better. You’d be the central point of contact for all our digital projects, helping to make sure that the developers understand the details of the project and how to implement the project to fulfil our business requirements.

You’re organised, able to handle a bunch of moving parts, and naturally keep the big picture in mind as you work. You know just how to ensure our digital changes are executed quickly and effectively, and that the changes are sure to improve our customers’ experiences with us online. You like people, and you’re always keen to understand them better – you believe that good project management is really about helping the right people get good things done.

You are humble. You’re more interested in the outcome than the kudos; Sure, it’s great to have good work acknowledged (we all love that), but it’s not what you get out of bed for. Seeing the changes you facilitated make a positive difference – that’s your happy place.

And so, you are always keen to really understand if the changes that we make have worked.  You’ll look at the metrics and gather insights from the right teams to get a well-rounded picture of how our customers feel about things. If we don’t get it right the first time, you’re A-OK with seeking feedback and moving on to a new method for the sake of the long term goal.

If you share our love of great outcomes, appetite for constant learning, and desire to find better ways of doing things, you’ll fit right in at Bellroy.

  • Collaborating with the Creative team on the implementation and execution of a new landing page, to improve customer experiences and drive conversions.
  • Working with our storyteller and digital marketing manager to manage implementation of high priority SEO improvements across the website.
  • Coordinating an A/B test, in conjunction with the Customer Insights, Creative and Development teams, and monitoring the metrics to see how it goes.
  • Jumping into the Content Management System (CMS) to make some minor changes to the site that the Customer Insights team have identified should improve customer experience.
  • Providing feedback to the Development team on your experience using the CMS to help them improve it.

  • Ability to organise and stay on top of projects and follow them through to completion, prioritising and pushing things forward yourself, but calling on support when needed.
  • Willingness to collaborate and brainstorm with other teams and different minds.
  • A high level of comfort with technical details – you might not be a developer, but you know how a website works, and you feel comfortable learning quickly in a tech space.
  • Appreciation of – and eye for – great design. You might not be a designer, but you can see when something looks a bit off, and bring it to the design team’s attention.
  • Excellent communication skills.

This is a full-time position located at our Fitzroy office.
