IN A NUTSHELL
Bellroy is looking for a high-achiever to come and lend a hand to our finance team. A second or third year accounting student who wants to gather some solid practical experience alongside the stuff being learnt in books and lectures at uni. This is more than an internship, we’d love you to establish yourself as part of the team, for the long-term. We’ll help you grow your knowledge, progress your skills and flourish like the rest of us. And because we’re all about learning and growth, you’ll be here to watch it happen on a company level, too.
WE’RE AFTER A PARTICULAR TYPE OF PERSON
You’re smart, respectful and keen as mustard to work with our Finance Manager on all sorts of accounting tasks. You’ll be happy to start off easy, with accounts payable/receivable and ad-hoc tasks, tapping into the knowledge of our finance assistants (and other team members) as you go to resolve issues and answer queries.
But you’re not afraid to get technical, and you’ll get to use your knowledge of accounting theory to assist with bank reconciliations, preparation of activity statements and international tax compliance documentation.
You’re confident in your abilities and feel comfortable suggesting ideas or improvements as they come to you. But of course you are just as excited to learn from us and the work we do. Because, like us, you believe lifelong learning might actually be your guiding purpose in life.
The role will be varied, and tailored to you and your development. There might also be a full-time graduate position available if it’s what we decide we both want.
IS IT YOU?
We’re looking for someone with strong academic results in an accounting-related degree, coupled with some work experience in which you have demonstrated clear problem solving abilities. We need you to be passionate, eager, and willing to work as part of a team. If you’re on board with all that we’re about and think you can offer our finance team the kind of first-rate help they’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
LOCATION AND HOURS
This is a paid part-time role based in our Fitzroy studio approximately 10-15+ hours per week. We’re happy to negotiate the hours around your study commitments.
Start Day: When can you start?
